Jelly Roll Rug

Join Teresa in making a patriotic jelly roll rug that you can use from Memorial Day thru the summer. We will be using fabric from Independence Day designed by Sweetwater for Moda. Your finished oval rug will be approximately 25”w x 50”l. You will learn the technique of making strips for the rug and how to put it all together for a beautiful addition to your home.

Don't want to do a patriotic one, pick any of your favorite fabric collections and get yourself some 21/2 inch strips. Pair that with the Bosal precut batting, and you are ready to go.

Supplies needed;

1 jelly roll from Independence Day or your choice of fabric collections

1- 50yard roll of Bosal precut batting

Clover tube maker - or similar

Small ironing mat

Wool pressing mat

Needles -Jeans size 80/12 or 90/14

Thread to match (OESD has a nice red, white and blue variegated thread)

9mm stitch plate

Feet either 1D or 34D are preferred for a Bernina, or for other brands, your zigzag multi-purpose foot or the clear foot.
Long sharp pins - 1 1/2" preferred

Stiletto
scissors
A thread stand or something similar is useful for feeding off your batting as this is put together.

When you arrive for your class, pull up parallel to the front doors and we will help get your machine out of your car. Then please proceed to the east side of the building to park. If you are impaired, please know you can park on the front of the building towards the east end. If you must cancel your class after signup, please call the store and we will refund your fee in the form of a credit to your account. If you are bringing a drink, please have it in a tightly closed container with a sealable drink slide. No lunch is provided. We do have refrigerators to store your lunch for a few hours.
