HoopSisters - Sampler Bouquet

HoopSisters are embroidery designers that create versatile embroidery/quilting patterns that allow you to create quilts, pillows, table runners, wall hangings and just lets your creativity be the boss.    With there one of a kind batting/stabilizer called battilizer, you will be able to create in the hoop projects.    For this class, we are featuring the Sampler Bouquet Pattern.  

This project is a group of blocks that consist of a various flower types and the graceful butterfly blocks and the associated quilting that goes with each one.    The first flower block will be the on-point tulip that can be created to stand alone or in a four-patch layout.   This quilting for just this block is amazing.    

The Quilted Butterflies which surround the flower blocks give you a great block that alternates with the flower blocks in an on-point layout.  They also make a great border for the four-patch layout, making that quilt even larger.  The quilting includes background feathers and swirls to enhance the butterfly.  The same feathers and swirl quilting is echoed through each of the monthly designs.

To get the designs, they are available as a download on the HudsonSewingStudio.com website.   When you download from there, you will get the entire set of the designs at once.    If you order from Hoopsisters, you will be ordering in a monthly subscription and it will cost more in the end.

For this class, we will be featuring time to get everyone started.   So even if you have never done a Hoopsister project, we will baseline how to work with the Battilizer and how the Hoopsister process works.    Then everyone will jump in to the creating of the first 2 blocks.    

This class will either be in person in a classroom at the store, or you will also have the choice of joining via a Zoom link.   Cheryl Mark will be guiding you through the block creation via zoom, and a teacher will be in the classroom to help you if you will be joining the class there.   Once we get started, we will have check-in dates, where you will be able to zoom with Cheryl to answer questions and to see the next blocks.   These dates will be posted soon.

Thread colors  - you will need thread to match the fabric that you pick.
Embroidery bobbin thread
Yellow bobbin if your machine uses one - also bring your black bobbin as we will decide which bobbin case works best for you
Hoop needed - this will depend on the size of block you choose to make and the machine you will be using.   There are a number of options that are available.    The Maxi, Oval  or midi hoops, are available, as well as the magnetic hoops and the clamp hoops.   We will take some time in the first class to talk about what is best for you.

When you arrive at the store for this class, please unload your machine and project supplies at the front of the store and be ready to move your car to the east side of the building to park.   If you have mobility issues, you can park at the front of the store on the east or west end.

We must have 4 customers to move forward with this class.   If you must cancel, a refund to your account will be given.   If we need to cancel due to weather event or sickness, we will refund to your account and do our best to re-schedule so you can attend.   If you need to cancel for any reason, please call the store.
