Fabulous Foot - Project Day
Each Quarter, we will have a few hours that is devoted to the great Bernina Feet. We all have them or have looked at them. We have feet in our possession that we don't use to their full potential. These lecture/demo/hands on sessions are meant to solve the mysteries and help you become more familiar with the great BERNINA feet! We will have machines in the classroom.
Bring your notebook and a pencil or if you have your Big Book of Feet bring it along and come on out to join us as we demonstrate and talk about some BERNINA feet. It will be a fun and informational event for you to attend. Got a new machine and don't know what feet you need to invest in -- come join this session and learn about how important the BERNINA feet are to helping you navigate your project.
The August Class, we will be doing 2 things during our session.
The first will be a follow-up on the Walking foot to show you the difference between the 5.5 mm walking foot and the new Walking Foot Wide! There will be some samples shared to see the difference in the width of stitch you can obtain.
The second will be the #23 foot. This foot is the Applique Foot. We will be stitching some applique pieces and then we will step it up a notch to stitch with cording! Be ready to be amazed at these techniques.
The last time we met, many of you brought in your machine and stitched. If you found that to be an approach you liked, please feel free to bring your machine and some ivory, orange and deep brown thread. Your bobbin thread can be the same type of thread but can be a natural color. Bring some snips, your foot control, your slide on table for this project.
If you would rather travel light and come in and experience one of our machines, they will be set up and ready in the classroom. Just bring your notebook paper to jot down some notes as we navigate through these feet.
Our plan is to have folks ready to leave by around 11:30.
