The Art of Cartonnage! New Project Santa Boot #152
If you are not into Quilt making or Embroidery, but enjoy working with fabric, this is a technique that you must try. With a few supplies and the guidance of Barb, in no time you will be creating and enjoying a no-sewing way to create unique pieces for your home or gift giving. Drop in the store today to see a many different completed Cartonnage projects on display.
This project is a fun way to usher in the Christmas Spirit! The Santa Boot Box measures 6 x 3 ¾ x 6. The Santa Boot is perfect for holding Candy Canes, napkins, Utensils, and a floral centerpiece. You could even use it for someone special’s Christmas stocking! You will complete your project during class and get to take it home with you!
This class will cover the project Santa Boot box. If you have completed a beginner class or a couple of Cartonnage classes, then this class is for you!
Personal instructions are not necessary for class. If you would like your own copy of the instructions during class, please stop by the shop and purchase your Santa Boot Box kit #152 before class. Follow the instructions inside your kit to access the instructions on the Colorway Arts web site. The instructions can be printed on paper or downloaded to a device. These can then be brought to class if you wish.
If you do not want your own personal instructions during class, we will have this kit waiting for you to be purchased the morning of class. The kit fee is not included in the class fee.
Please bring the following supplies to class:
2 fat quarters fabric or more if you want more variety in your project.
Snips
Scissors
Rotary cutter
3x12 ruler
Heavy book to weight down your project
Cutting mat can be a small on- 12x18
Fabrics that you will want to avoid for this project are directional fabric and All solid fabric (try Grunge instead)
When you arrive for your class, please be prepared to park on the east side of the building. If you are impaired, please know you can park in the front of the building toward the eastWe like having 4 students enrolled in the class to move forward but do make exceptions depending on the class. But come and join in. This is a great new way to use fabric and you don't need a machine.

If your class is going to go across lunch, no lunch will be provided for this class. We do have a fridge available for your use as well as a microwave for warming items. You also can run to Casey’s to grab something from there. The Casey’s in Hudson is approximately 10 blocks away. If you bring a drink with you, it must be in a sealed, closable slide container. No Casey’s cups or other fast food cups. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
