L890 Serger Extravaganza with Pamela Mahshie!

You have been waiting and the store is super excited to announce that Pamela Mahshie the Business Manager for Overlocker Machines with BERNINA of America will be in the store teaching on the L890. She will be featuring a class where you create a table runner completely done on the serger, experience a trunk show of projects that Pam will bring with her, and then she will take you through how the different serger feet and be utilized to make your projects come to life.
Pam will be joining us for 2 days, teaching the same class each day - so you pick. Which day is best for you? Thursday or Friday? You pick. Here's what you can experience when you join us:
- Starting at 9:00, Pam will walk you through creating a Flying Geese Table runner done exclusively on the L890 Serger
- at 12:00 we will break for lunch with your table runner completed
- at 12:45 we will re-group for a Trunk Show. Pam will wow and get your creative juices going with a showing of her projects
- at 1:30 and going till End of Day, Pam will walk you through a foot class on the L890 and how the right foot and stitch selection guides you to being as creative as you can.
If you are an owner of an L890, please bring your machine and let's get you going learning your machine and getting comfortable behind it. With Pam's help, she will guide you through how to tap into the creative ways you can use your machine that you didn't even know! This is a great chance - right here in Central Illinois - to hear from the best in this market!
So you don't own a machine, the store will have a group of machines available for you to walk in and try for this event! This Try Me Option is available to non-owners and will be available only while we have machine available to use. What a GREAT opportunity to sew on one of these machines while being guided to the best in the business on the Overlocker machine. To take advantage of this option, you must call the store and ask to be signed up for the Try Me special for Pam Mashie. (or write Try Me next to your name when signing up) There is a limited number of seats available for this option.
To make your experience even better, there will be prepared kits for this class, complete with different types of thread to experiment with during the day. We will also have room monitors in the room assisting. This is a no student left behind event!
If you are an owner, you will need to bring your machine, foot contol, free hand system, extra needles, snips and all your other accessories for your machine. Make sure you have your accessories in the door of your machine. Also bring, scissors for the event.
As a non-owner, you will bring scissors and snips. The machine you are using will be in the room when you arrive.
Lunch will be provided for you for this event as a part of the class fee!
So what are you waiting for?! Grab a seat while they are available. We expect them to be snatched up quickly but the best part is that we have TWO days available for you to grab a seat in! If you attempt to sign up and the seats are sold out, please call the store and asked to be put on the wait list. This wait list will be handled on a first to call, the first to have the opportunity to grab a seat if someone must cancel. For this event, if you must cancel, please call the store. A refund will only be provided is we are able to fill your seat. The refund will be in the form of a credit on your account in most situations.
If you are bringing your machine, when you arrive, pull up to the front door and we will help unload your machine and supplies. Then you can continue to the east side of the building to park.
If you are bringing a drink to the class, remember it must be is a tight fitting lidded container with a closable slide. This is to protect you and your class buddies from an accidental spill.
