Crazy Quilt Class -- a jump off the Scrappy Class

We all have fabric scraps and we have no idea what to do with them. This class is an idea for you! There is a Scrap class that we have been having to give you the foundation for what scrapping is. This Crazy Quilt Concept is another way to turn your scraps into a Crazy Quilt!
In these classes, we will focus on putting together your scraps with the goal being a Crazy Quilt when you are done. You have control in how large you go, or the right size quilt for you.
The class will guide you through the process -- and how to tackle doing this part by part. This is a two session class with the option of adding a 3rd depending on how everyone is doing.
Bring with you day of class the following:
- Machine
- New needle
- Foot peddle
- Multi-purpose foot
- Variety of thread colors (50 wt) -- this is great class to use up those spools and bobbins that have some remaining thread but not enough for a complete project
- Bobbin
- Bobbin thread in neutral color
- Scissors
- Snips
- Pinking shears
- Pins and/or safety pins
- Glue stick
- Scraps of ironed quilting cottons in variety of sizes and colors.
- Trims, ribbons, fibers, rick-rack, hem tape, bias binding, bits of lace, etc.
- Small iron and ironing mat (if you don't have, there are irons available)
- Rotary cutter and cutting mat
- SF 101 yardage to create the size of the quilt you want to create. At a certain construction point in the class, you will piece together the various pieces of the SF 101 to create the size you want. (SF 101 comes in 20" width or 60" width.}
- If you have taken "Got Scraps? What Next?" class, bring that piece if you want to use it in your quilt. (This class is recommended, not required, before you leap into your Crazy Quilt.)
- Chocolate, patience, and sense of adventure
Upon arriving at the store, pull up to the front door. We will come out and help get your machine. It helps if your supplies are on the passenger side of the car or the trunk. Then you can move your car to the east side of the building.
If you are bringing a drink, it must be in a container with a tight fitting - close-slide container. This helps to protect any drink accidents that impacts your supplies or your partner close to you.
If you must cancel your class attendance, please call the shop and we can do a refund to your account. We must have 4 sign-ups to move forward with this class.
