Stripology Quilt - Winny Pattern

Who doesn't love some instant gratification every once in a while, especially when making a quilt in a short amount of time? GE Designs allows this magic to happen by using the Stripology XL or Square Ruler. Come learn about the Stripology ruler which will allow you to cut fairly fast, create blocks, and then recut the blocks to come up with a combination of great interactive blocks. These blocks then sew together fairly quick and because you have trimmed, you are sewing together blocks that line up perfectly.

For this class, you will be using the Stripology Quickies Book and the Stripology XL or Square Ruler. This pattern can be made with any combination of colors or a fabric collection. Let your creativity go to work on this one. We will be making the Lap Size Quilt.

The example will be in the store in July.

Skill Level: Confident beginner or Intermediate

Skill Details: A confident beginner is a good fit for this class. You must be able to consistently sew a quarter inch seam and be confident with a ruler and a rotary cutter.

Supplies for Lap Quilt:

12 Fat Quarters or 6 half yards
3 ¼ yard of background
2/3 yard binding
5 ¼ yards backing

What to Bring to Class:

Fabric
Machine (if not Bernina, please bring manual)
Foot Pedal
White or Gray Thread
Bobbins
Scissors
Pins
Seam Ripper
¼” foot
Small iron (if you have one)
Rotary Cutter
Cutting Mat
Stripology XL or Squared ruler
Fabric marking pen

When arriving on the day of class, pull up to the front of the store to unload your machine and supplies. Someone will be around to help you unload your supplies. Then please move your car to the east side of the building for the day. If you need to cancel your class, call the store and we will return it to your account in the form of a credit. If you are bringing a drink with you to class, make sure you bring a glass with a tight fitting lid and a slide closable drink opening.

There must be at least 4 students to sign up for this class for it to proceed. If we do not reach this minimum, a refund in the form of a store credit will be issued. If you need to cancel last minute, please call the store.
