Laminated Cotton Apron
Not just a kitchen apron! This laminated cotton apron is waterproof so you can keep dry while you wash the dogs, or the baby, or do messy art projects, or do gardening. Just wipe clean with a damp cloth.
The fabric is also certified food safe, so it would make a perfect lunch or snack bag
Machine washable on warm, hang dry and iron on low
Laminated Cotton is a new product. It has a beautiful soft feel. Check it out! I know you will love it as I do and will find many uses – as a bag, an apron, a tablecloth or any time you want a waterproof fabric that is also safe for food. The apron pattern can be printed for free at Splash Fabics.com. If you are interested in the class, don't let not being able to access the pattern. We will have some copies in the store!
1 yard of Splash laminated cotton will make 2 aprons, or one apron and matching child apron, or lunch bag, zipper pouch etc.
Come to class early enough that you are setup and ready to cut and sew at beginning of class.
No advance prep. Apron will be cut out in class

Supplies
NOTE: NO ADVANCE PREP! WE WILL CUT THE APRON OUT IN CLASS!!
1 yard of splash fabric will make 2 aprons or 1 apron and other bags or totes
Bring 4 yards (2 pkgs) EXTRA WIDE DOUBLE FOLD BIAS TAPE to match/coordinate with fabric. We do not have this product in the store!
Sewing machine in good working order
Universal or microtext 80/12 needles
(I use regular poly thread and a 80/12 microtex or vinyl needle)
Clips and a few pins
6” measuring stick
Rotary cutter and 24” ruler
Chalk or removable marking pen
Seam ripper
Scissors
Thread/bobbin to match your binding color
When you arrive, pull up parallel to the store door and we will help you get your machine out of your car. If it is on the left side of your car, that will help. Then please proceed to go park on the east side of the building and we will bring your machine into the store.
If you are bringing a drink, make sure it is in a sealed bottle or in a glass that has a sealable lid with a closable drink slide.
We must have 4 students sign-up for this class, but are expecting many more!
