Friday Fiesta Place Mats - Quilt as you Go Method
This class is a fun and easy and will expose you to the Quilt as you Go technique. With guidance in class, you will catch on fast and will be able to create a new set of placemats for your home in no time.
You will need to bring:
Machine
Foot Pedal
New Needle
Power Cord
multi-purpose foot
scissors
Wonder Clips
chalk or removable marking pen
Thread - a natural gray works except for the top stitching then you will need coordinating thread. Also for the quilt as you go method it is best that your thread also blend with your backing color.
Prior to class you will need to purchase the pattern and the fabric as needed for this project. We suggest that you use regular batting - either Warm and White or Hobbs 80/20 batting. The basting spray helps to secure the quilting sandwich together and Peggy will help you through those steps.
If you can have your fabric cut out prior to the class it will help you to get it done in the class, but if you need help with the cutting out, don't worry, we will help you with this too.
We must have 4 sign-up for this class to be presented. We have a refrigerator available for lunch goodies. If you must cancel, please call the shop to let us know. If we need to cancel due to weather or health, we will give you a refund in the form of a store credit on your account.
When you arrive for class, please be ready to drop off your machine and supplies and then move to the east parking lot. If you have mobility issues, you are more than welcome to park on the north side of the building - east corner.
