Bloom and Grow Serger Quilt -- Let's Quilt with a Serger

You have seen the hype about this quilt and about the ability to Quilt with your Serger. This class is your chance to try it out. The Bloom and Grow quilt contains 6 unique quilt squares that are totally pieced with a Serger. With your work in the class and homework, you will be able to construct the Bloom and Grow Quilt blocks or use the blocks you create and sew together for a table runner.
You will have homework to complete the group of blocks from one week to the next. You will be able to buy the Bloom and Grow Kit (contact the store to order the kit) or you can purchase just the pattern and select your own fabric to create this quilt. NOTE: Since this was originally published, we have found the fabric kit is very difficult to get. Here's your chance to pick your own colorway!
Come on in to the store and we will be happy to help you identify the right colorway for you. The patterns will also be in the store soon. The supply list you see below is for all the quilt square types. You will be completing 2 squares a class so what you need will vary. I suggest you gather your supplies and bring them with you each week. For those that are signed up, we will contact you when the pattern arrives
The blocks contained in this quilt that will be demonstrated and sewn are - bow-tie, flying geese, wonky log cabin, elongated tumbler block. Please get your fabric cut according to the pattern and the timing is later in the class description. Please also be aware, the Flower part of this quilt is not a part of the class instruction.
This class will be a 4 hour class held a week apart for 3 weeks.

For the class that is covering the vine and flower, these are the extra supplies you will need:
When arriving for class, please be ready to unload you supplies and then move your car to the east side of the building. If you have mobility issues, please park at the east or west end of the front of the building.
There must be at least 4 students sign up for this class for it to proceed. If we do not reach this minimum, a refund in the form of a store credit will be issued. If you need to cancel last minute, please call the store. We will do our best to provide instruction for you if you must miss a class.
