Managing Embroidery Designs - How to manage Designs on your Computer and your USB's

This class will be discussion on how to manage all those designs that you are purchasing. So you have a stack of CD's, have downloaded designs from a website, and now you are trying to figure out the best system to remember what you have.   This is the class that we will discuss just that.  While there is no system that is going to work for everyone, we can provide some hints and tips for making this process work for you -- or to at least understand what you are up against when you do not protect your designs.  Trust me, technology is hard!  (Well unless you are under the age of 25!)   For the rest of us, we need tips and tricks to be able to do this and the store is here for you.

There is a series of 3 classes to help you conquer managing embroidery designs.

1.  There is a class for moving embroidery designs from a purchased CD to your computer and to a USB.
2.  A second class focusses on downloading an embroidery design from a website and moving to your computer and USB.
3.  The third session focusses on managing these designs on your computer and on your USB's.  How to library them for best access.

What will not be covered is information about Windows 10 or 11 File Explorer.  You must have a good working knowledge about Windows processing prior to attending this class.  We will give you the steps you need to do the exercises for class, but will not do detail explanations.

If you want to attend all three classes -- you must sign-up for all three.

Bring with you for this class:

Windows Laptop with a mouse.  Trust us, you don't want to try to do this class using the touchpad on your computer.
An external CD drive (Most computers no longer contain a CD drive.  You can buy one that connects to your computer with a USB connector.)
A USB
A USB Hub - If you only have one USB port on your computer, you will need a USB Hub to be able to connect your mouse and read from both the CD and for the USB.  The USB Hub adds more USB ports (connections) to your computer.
An External Hard Drive - we'll discuss this in the first class.  This is optional.

We need 4 students to go forward with this class.   If we must cancel, your payment will be returned as a credit to your Sewing Studio Account.   If you must cancel last minute, please call the store.    Please refrain from wearing fragrances for class.
