Beginning Foundation Paper Piecing
Have you ever thought about trying paper piecing, but don’t know where to start? This class will give you the skills you need to understand the fundamentals of paper piecing.
Melissa will demystify this technique in a one day class. You will learn how to use paper piecing to create precise angles and points that will result in a fun wall hanging for you to take home.
Bring these Supplies with you to class:
"Show Me How to Paper Piece" by Carol Doak
Sewing Machine
Thread
Scissors
Seam ripper
Straight pins
Ruler - at least 12 inches long
Rotary cutter
Cutting mat
Pen or pen
1/4 yard fabric of light background
1/4 yard fabric for border
1/4 yard total of assorted fabric for hearts (at least 1.5 inch wide by 3.5 long)
(optional)
Small iron and mat (irons will be provided if needed)
The following will be demonstrated and available for purchase:
Seam roller
“Add a Quarter” ruler
Water Soluble glue stick
There must be at least 4 students sign up for this class for it to proceed. If we do not reach this minimum, a refund in the form of a store credit will be issued. If you need to cancel last minute, please call the store. This class if the solid foundation you need to move ahead with a new quilting technique.
