Learn to Collage Quilt the Laura Heine Way!

Learn Laura Heine’s techniques from certified instructor Linda Lambert to successfully create, secure, and quilt your own work of art! Collage Quilts are all about using fabric, patterns, motifs, and values to create your design. This class will start with a kit, but you can add your own personal touches from your stash if you like! 

Collage is for everyone - no experience necessary to learn this technique! (And what better way to learn than with a certified instructor?!)

Watch for the notions listed below to be updated.   The example which will be completed in the class will be in the store soon.   Everyone will be doing the same pattern.    A fabric kit will be available for purchase to get you started.    While we encourage you to bring 'special' fabrics from your stash to include in this project, the fabric kit gets you going day of class.   You don't have to fret about the 'right' fabric to go find

Required Notions:

• Laura Heine Pattern – Sewing Scissors
• Fabric kit 
• Karen Kay Buckley medium serrated edge scissors (blue handles)
• #2 pencil
• Silicone Applique Fusing Mat 17x24
• Applique Pressing Sheet
• 12” wide Steam-A-Seam 2 (No substitutes) 3 yards
• Pattern Ease Foundation – ¾ yard
• Rotary Cutter and a mat
• Optional - Mini iron and an ironing mat. Classroom irons will be available but if you have your own mini set, please bring!) 

• Backing & Batting (size depends on size of finished collage)
• Sewing Machine
• 90/14 Needle(s)
• Cotton Thread

Minimum 6 participants for class to be held.  If minimum not reached, class fee will be refunded.
