Professional Tote or Mini Professional Tote Bag Class
The Professional Tote has all the pockets and compartments needed for today’s professional woman. Whether you work in an office or not, this tote has it all. There is a pleated pocket on each side of the tote to hold a bottle of water, umbrella, magazine, baby bottle or telephone. Also, on the front is a zippered pocket to hold your ID and Passport for your airport travel. Behind that pocket is one for your boarding pass.
On the backside is one large pocket for a newspaper. On the inside, there is a large center dividing zippered pocket that holds file folders. There is plenty of room inside for a laptop computer. Several pockets are inside for your business cards, keys, pens, PDA, and more. To finish it off, there is a zipper that will close tight to keep the contents secure. This would also work great as a sewing tote with a place for patterns or books, fabrics and notions.
Let’s not forget about the “professional” diaper bag, with a pocket for all the babies’ needs.
We plan on doing the exterior on the first class and then lining/finish on day 2. In order to get this all done some prep work prior to class is helpful. This pattern has labels. If you cut your fabric and attach the appropriate label prior to class you will have a greater chance of finishing the exterior without homework. For interfacing, I use just SF101 and Soft and Stable. Soft and Stable will go on the front and back pieces as well as the 2 side panels. All other pieces are stabilized with SF101.
If you have everything cut and fused prior to the class you will be more likely to get finished. If you do not finished please come to the PhD (project half done) class to finish.
You will need to bring:
Sewing Machine
Foot Pedal
New Needle
Multipurpose foot, zipper foot #4D; #10D foot
Matching thread

Fabric Needed
Cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter if you have not cut your fabric out previously
Notions needed as explained on the pattern
Come on into the store, grab a pattern and let the staff help you select your fabrics and other goodies!
We must have 3 students to proceed with this class. If we cannot, your fee will be returned in the form of a credit to your Sewing Studio account. If you must cancel, please call a day prior to the class to allow us to make arrangements.
