Tamarack Jacket Sewing Class with a splash of CLASS!

Who doesn’t need “a little jacket” to slip on for a quick errand.   Tamarack is the perfect jacket.  This light-weight jacket can be done is so many ways!    For this class, Linda will be adding a great twist on this favorite.    Take a panel, take some of your favorite fabrics and twist them to create a one of a kind go to jacket.

The style of the Tamarak Jacket is great for all body types and can be altered in many ways to meet your goals of what you have to have with a slip on jacket.    Linda is going to ratchet this all up as she helps you to "Create" the fabric to use for this beauty.  Just take a look at the pictures of what Linda did using some fabric in the store for the front and back of the jacket (see picture below).

For this class, you will need to come and obtain from the store the Tamarak pattern from Grainline Studio to get your fabric requirements.  To make this jacket, you will be using panels or other fabric choices to get it just right.   To help with that process, on March 6th, there is time set up with Linda to pick your fabrics.    That night, you will need to wash and dry the fabrics, especially the flannel that is used for the lining.   Why - flannel shrinks a good deal.   The next day, you will jump in and start the creating process.   Check out the beautiful back of Linda's jacket in the pictures.

For the fabric you need, besides picking your choice of fabrics for creating your fabric, remember to add the flannel in the amount on the pattern for the size you are making.

For the class you will want to bring:
Machine
Foot pedal
new needle
slide on table
pins
marking pencil
you will want to trace your pattern onto Pattern Ease prior to class in the size right for you
scissors for cutting fabric
snips for cutting threads
