ABC's of Embroidery

What can you expect from The ABC’s of Embroidery?     Included in the class fee are the complete kits for these projects and the designs which will be yours to take home.    We will be doing 3 projects each of them a different embroidery technique.   We will place the designs on a USB included in the class fee, which means you can take these home and try them again.   Repetition is the best way to get better!     This will be a fun filled class where you will be with others just like yourselves – ready to push ahead your embroidery skills.   

Here is what you need to bring to this class:

Machine and Embroidery Module
Power Cord
Embroidery Foot
Slide on Table if your machine has one
Oval and Medium Hoop or a hoop that will accommodate a 5x7 design
Embroidery Needles - and we will talk about needles in the session
Thread Cap -- Small or Medium if your machine needs one
Embroidery Bobbin Thread - available in the store if you don't have any
At least 3 bobbins -- have one wound with embroidery bobbin thread 
OESD or Kimberbell Paper tape (can also purchase morning of)
Embroidery Thread in these colors:     (can also purchase morning of)

White - 0015
Black - 0020
Cream - 0970
Red - 2011
Brown - 1032

Scissors - snips, applique scissors.    We have some of these types of scissors for you to experiment with if you don't have any

You will get a USB with the designs loaded on it as a part of the class fee

We will keep those machines humming across lunch.   Bring something for a snack and we will watch your machines while you are away.   We have a fridge to keep items cold and we also have bottled water in the fridge.

This is not a Bernina specific class, however, please call the store to let us know which machine you are bringing.   For Bernina machines, if you have a machine other than a 5 or 7 series machines, please call the store to see if the teachers have the knowledge to help you with your machine.   For all machines, you must have the ability to attach a 5x7 hoop and a 4.5 x 4.5 hoop.   The other criteria is you must be able to insert a USB to pull the designs from.    If you know your machine fairly well - as we don't have deep experience in all machines - we can help you to embroider.   All machine types can come embroider with us!

Arrival time for this class is 9:00.    The class will start around 9:30.   When you arrive, please pull to the front of the store.   We will help you get your machines into the store and then please park on the east side of the building.   


There must be at least 4 students for this class to move forward.    A cancellation will result in any fee paid being returned as an account credit.   If you need to cancel the last minute, please call the store.
