Ginger by Sallie Tomato
The Ginger Bag is a Sallie Tomato pattern. It is beginner friendly. If you have not tried cork or faux leather this is a great bag to do that with. You will get zipper practice as well as work with hardware and rivets. This bag should be able to be completed in this one session. Many purses are completed while inside out and then 'birthed' through an opening in the lining. This one is turned to the right side through a pocket! Lovely way to birth a bag!
You will need to bring:
Machine
Foot Pedal
New Needle
Power Cord
multi-purpose foot
#10 foot if you sew with a Bernina- other models may call it the stitch in the ditch foot
zipper foot
scissors
Wonder Clips
chalk or removable marking pen
double sided tape
Thread - a natural gray works except for the top stitching then you will need coordinating thread
stiletto
Prior to class you will need to purchase the pattern and the hardware needed to finish this bag. These are available in the shop and if you have questions, the staff can help. A complete list of what is needed for this pattern is shown on the back of the pattern. This is another great feature about Sallie Tomato patterns. She does a very good job of describing what is needed.
If you can have your fabric cut out prior to the class it will help you to get it done in the class, but if you need help with the cutting out, don't worry, we will help you with this too.
We must have 3 sign-up for this class to be presented. We have a refrigerator available for lunch goodies. If you must cancel, please call the shop to let us know. If we need to cancel due to weather or health, we will give you a refund in the form of a store credit on your account.
