Be honest - I think we all have either a fear of doing bindings or we just feel like we can never get them quite right. This class will help you -- it will start you off with how to cut your binding strips and sewing them together, applying them to your project and finishing them off.
Have you ever admired a quilt with beautiful curves or intricate designs and thought, “I could never make that”? Chances are, it was created using Foundation Paper Piecing(FPP)—a technique that feels a lot like paint-by-number or the coloring pages you enjoyed as a child. In this class, you’ll learn the basics of FPP step-by-step. The project is designed to be completed in a single day, giving you the confidence to take on larger patterns in the future. By the end, you’ll have a pin cushion you can recreate for holidays, seasonal décor, or thoughtful handmade gifts.

Sewing Techniques
This is a class for beginner Embroiderers. Bring your machine and we will take you through 3 different embroidery techniques. Along the way, we will provide you some tips on problem solving when you are home working on something of your own. We will also discuss different needle types and stabilizer. We also promise a laugh or two along the way. Bring a lunch as we will keep going through the lunch time. Your machine MUST be able to accept a USB to take this class.

This class is for Bernina machines only and we will take you to the next level of understanding the power your machine offers you to be able to change, reposition, modify, re-arrange, and how to add lettering to your embroidery. It all lives on your machine under your 'i' function! This class is not a project creation class, it is a dive in and learn your machine class.

So, you have wanted to sew a project for yourself? We believe we have found the pattern for you! This loose fitting top is an easy fit, easy to sew breezy top.

Open Sew Daze and Open Bag Sew is just the fix you need to be able to come in, sew in a relaxed and safe space to get those unfinished projects done. We will have 2 teachers in the room to assist you with all your questions. Come for one day or for both and leave your machine and sewing supplies overnight. You will get one table in exchange for the class fee.

Wrap yourself in handmade style! In this class, Andrew Lee--aka The Combat Quilter--will teach us how to transform a finished quilt into a one-of-a-kind quilted jacket! Don’t worry if you’ve never made clothing before—Andrew will walk through it step-by-step and you'll leave with a cozy, on-trend jacket that’s just as fun to wear as it was to make!

This skill class is for Bernina or Bernette Sergers that have Coverstitch functionality. Come join in this class with the girls and they will walk you through how to set up your machine for successful completion of the Coverstitch series of stitches.

Come join this session and the girls will be leading you through the Overlock Stitches. They will be focussing on this set of stitches to help you become comfortable with this group. Look for other classes on the Coverstitch and Combination stitch set up.
